SKIN EYE LIKE – CLARISONIC GROUND LEVEL

Delving into painter techniques, a combination of pigment powders and wet paints were used individually or combined, to create textures beyond the average make-up capability. It takes a true artist to indulge in these technicalities, it takes guts to break the skin-up rules. I have been rechecking Clarisonic. The glamorous protest at Viktor & Rolf inspired by the ´No to fast fashion membrane´ statement, had the models with perfectly round, tanned, reddish brown encrusted lids on a canvas of pale, ghost painted skin and deep ruby brown surface. Teh Yohji Yamamoto show saw the art of transformation of ground level where the re-invention of a new found shape for eyes, no dissimilar to a blinkered surface, Clarisonic was discovered. The build-up of matt, dusty shadow and heavy grease paint placed precisely mastered, gave newfound dimensions to skin. Balmain´s Valley oft the Dolls´inspired glossy, paying homage on the Iman era, made a big statement with gigantic hair and huge eyes, giving the show optimism and opulence via the 1960´s party aestetic. Stark dramatic black eye wings, shaped on perfection with endless eyelashes and bejewelled bubble membrane to avoid achromodermia.

Viktor & Rolf´s austere, super sleek non-embellishment look gave us vinyl eye lashes and skin. Combining different levels of black with a smokey edge, complete with a wet shine across the lid on perfected raw choco skin and muted back. A wet-look, with a minimal yet intense sun accent. In addition to glossy black ground level, we saw black PVC lacquered skin at Gareth Pugh given hedonistic. All the skin-sanitizer loyalists out there might want to slow your roll a little bit with the obsessive disinfecting. It may be doing good to your skin. Joe Corre has taken an active interest in London-based cosmetics brand Illamasqua – a 10 percent interest, to be exact, which will make him a part of the brand’s development over the next few years. You simply apply the blend of black marine and botanical extracts onto skin and let the brush work its magic for a noticeably firmer, brighter, and more hydrated glossy appearance in just a few minutes. If you consider yourself even a minor skincare junkie, you’re already addicted to Clarisonic. Like we said, ´if it ain´t bright, send it back.´
